Gift Overlays overlay: FAQ
What is a Top Streak overlay?
A Top Streak overlay shows the viewer who has sent the most consecutive gifts during your TikTok Live stream. It displays their username and a "x {count}" streak counter that updates in real time. BetterTok offers 11 streak themes including Fire, Neon, Galaxy and Combo.
How does the streak counter work?
When a viewer sends a gift streak, the counter increases with each gift. If another viewer starts a bigger streak, the overlay switches to them. You can clear the card after a quiet period, and reset it when a new stream starts.
Does the streak overlay increase engagement?
Gift streaks create urgency and excitement. Viewers don't want their streak to end, so they keep gifting, and other viewers see the streak climbing and start their own.
Can I customize the streak display?
Yes: the title text, the username and counter colors, the × multiplier color, fonts and sizes, the gift image and its animation, and the position of each part. All settings are in the BetterTok dashboard.
What happens between streams?
Turn on Reset on new stream to clear the streak when you go live again, or leave it off to keep the last streak on screen.
Is the Top Streak overlay free?
No. Top Streak is part of the Creator plan ($9.99 a month), which includes all 11 themes.
