What is Voicemod for TikTok LIVE?

Voicemod is a voice changer that runs on your computer, between your microphone and your streaming app. BetterTok connects it to your TikTok LIVE events, so the buttons belong to your viewers: someone sends a Lion and you sound like a robot for 30 seconds.

Voice changes wait their turn. If two gifts land together, the second voice starts when the first one ends. When nothing is left in the queue, Voicemod goes back to your clean voice by itself.

BetterTok talks to the Voicemod app on your computer, so Voicemod has to be running and your BetterTok dashboard or desktop app has to be open while you stream. Voicemod is a separate product you install yourself, and the voices you can pick are the ones in your copy.

How to connect Voicemod to TikTok LIVE

  1. Open Voicemod

    Install Voicemod and leave it running with its voice changer on. Choose its virtual microphone as the mic in your streaming app, or your viewers will not hear the change.

  2. Connect it to BetterTok

    In the web dashboard, open Actions, then the Integrations tab. In the desktop app, open Actions, then the VoiceMod tab. Tick Enable VoiceMod integration and auto-connect, press Save, then press Connect. There is no port or password to enter.

  3. Build an action

    Create an action, choose what triggers it, and add a Voice reaction.

  4. Pick the voice and the time

    Choose a voice, Random Voice (All) or Random Voice (Favorites), and how many seconds it lasts, from 1 to 300.

  5. Go live

    Keep Voicemod and the dashboard or desktop app open while you stream.

The connection is on BetterTok's free plan: a voice change is a step of an action, and a free account has 5 Actions & Events. The Creator plan ($9.99 a month) removes that limit. Voicemod is a separate product with plans of its own.

Can I use Voicemod on TikTok LIVE without the desktop app?

Yes. The web dashboard can connect to Voicemod as long as it stays open in Chrome, Edge or Firefox on the same computer. The desktop app does the same job without a browser tab.

How long can a Voicemod voice stay on?

From 1 to 300 seconds, set on each action. When the time is up your clean voice comes back, unless another voice is waiting in the queue.

Can TikTok viewers choose my voice with a chat command?

Yes. Make one action per voice with a keyword trigger such as !robot, and give each a cooldown so chat cannot keep it on all stream.

What happens if a gift lands while Voicemod is closed?

Your voice does not change, because BetterTok has nothing to send it to. The rest of the action, such as an alert or a sound, still plays.

Does Voicemod work with TikTok LIVE Studio?

Yes. BetterTok only switches the voice in Voicemod. Your streaming app, whether that is TikTok LIVE Studio or OBS, hears the change when Voicemod's virtual microphone is its mic.
