TikTok LIVE Actions & Events

Actions & Events is BetterTok's stream automation system. Events are triggers from your TikTok Live (like receiving a gift, gaining a follower, or a chat keyword). Actions are responses that happen on your stream (like playing an animation, switching an OBS scene, or showing a video). You connect events to actions to make your stream interactive automatically.

On the Free tier, you can create up to 5 actions, 5 events, and attach 5 actions per event. On the Creator tier ($9.99/month), actions, events and actions per event are unlimited. Both tiers include up to 8 overlay screens.

Yes! You can upload your own animations, images, GIFs, audio files, and video clips directly from your BetterTok dashboard. Custom uploads are free on all tiers. No need to host files externally.

Not for most actions. Animations, sounds, videos, alerts, TTS, webhooks and OBS actions work without it: add the overlay URL as a browser source in OBS, Streamlabs, or TikTok Live Studio. Key presses, hotkeys, chat messages and smart lights and plugs need the BetterTok desktop app. It controls Philips Hue, WiZ, LIFX, Nanoleaf, WLED, Yeelight, MagicHome, Cololight, Twinkly and Govee lights, and TP-Link Tapo, TP-Link Kasa and Home Assistant plugs. Voicemod and Streamer.bot actions need those apps running on your PC. OBS-specific features like scene switching require OBS Studio 28+ with the built-in OBS server enabled.

BetterTok's Creator plan is $9.99/month for unlimited actions, against $19/month for TikFinity Pro, and BetterTok's Actions & Events can also react to TikTok LIVE battles, polls, gifter and fan club level-ups and viewer milestones. Key presses, chat messages and smart lights need the BetterTok desktop app.

Yes. Each event can trigger multiple actions that play in sequence. For example, a Galaxy gift could play an animation, a celebration sound, and add points to the viewer — all from a single event. Actions are queued and play in order with media preloading for smooth playback.

Actions can show an alert, an animation, a picture or GIF, or a video. They can play a sound or read text aloud, move a goal or a timer, add or remove points, spin a wheel, send a chat message, call a webhook, switch an OBS scene or source, change your Voicemod voice or run a Streamer.bot action. With the BetterTok desktop app they can also press keys and control smart lights and smart plugs. Govee lights need the Creator plan.

Follows, gifts (any gift, one gift or a minimum coin value), likes, shares, any chat message, chat keywords and commands like !alert, Super Fans, Super Fan Boxes, treasure chests and portals, viewers joining, a viewer's first action, gifter and fan club level-ups, stickers and emotes, coin, like and viewer goals, battles, polls, pinned comments, shop products, going LIVE and ending the stream, a hotkey (desktop app), and overlay events like predictions, the hype train, boss battles and your stream pet.

No. Actions & Events works with OBS, Streamlabs, TikTok LIVE Studio or any streaming app that takes a browser source. Actions that show something or play a sound on stream run through that overlay link. Only the OBS actions, like switching scenes, need OBS Studio 28 or newer.
